I have always been attracted to music and sounds ever since I was very young. If I came across an instrument or an object that could produce varying sounds, I would be there trying to compose whatever random rhythm or melody that would come to mind. My first musical fascination was with the piano. At a young age, I began taking lessons on piano technique and music theory. Throughout my childhood, the feeling of rhythm and tempo was engrained into my mind through this instrument. The idea that this particular instrument could be so cheerful in one song and yet so haunting in another was captivating.
In my early teen years, I discontinued my formal lessons and began learning and composing whatever my heart desired. While writing new melodies, I could hear different elements in my head that would compliment the piano melody well, but I didn’t know to how bring these elements to life. Then I discovered the world of audio recording and production. I soon realized that this could be the outlet for my creative mind. Thus, my journey in discovering the methods of capturing that “perfect sound” began.
My passion grew into a hobby and now that hobby has grown into an aspiring career. Everyday, I am learning new methods and tools needed to create compelling music and quality sounds. With every project I take on, I am exposed to new elements and challenges that hone my knowledge and skills. I have learned that every artist is unique, and every artist brings new challenges to the table. It is exciting to see how these challenges transform into the unique elements that they were meant to be. I continue to become more and more efficient at the production process as my familiarity with my creative arsenal grows. I welcome new clients of all kinds to venture this creative process with me.
The future of the music industry is unclear and always changing, but I will keep pursuing my passion of bringing art to life. Audio production (and music in general) is an endless journey of gaining knowledge and experience in order to make that next project even better than the last. With each studio experience, I continue to grow my knowledge and expand my network in the arts community. One day, I hope to give back to the arts by establishing a community collective that fosters creativity and incubates artistic ventures. Until then, I’ll continue to pursue my passion for all things audio.
